Teacher Spotlight: Mystery!

Did you know the teacher that goes to Living History events that occurred in 1700-1800? She loves to dress up as someone from the past, and act out Living History events. If you want to know more about this dynamic English teacher, then read on!

I recently had the chance to sit down with this mystery teacher, and I asked her some questions.

Did you know who influenced this amazing teacher to become an educator?  In high school, her own teachers gave her the passion to become a teacher, and the way that her high school teachers ran their classroom inspired her.

What is her favorite part about working at FHS?

She loves the care and concern all the colleagues have for each other and the care and concern they have for the students. She also loves the good community of people at the school.

Here’s another clue about the teacher: She teaches 3 classes at Franklin High School: Brit Lit., Freshman English, and Honors 10. 

She loves Living History, and she loves to sew Historic clothing. Reading is her life! Her favorite author is Libba Bray.

I asked her a question: 10 years ago, who did you think you would be now?

Her answer was: “I think I would still be a teacher, and more involved in Living History.”

What is her favorite thing to do?

Her favorite thing to do is spend time with friends and family.

Some of her favorite foods include: Bacon and Polish food.

The best places she has traveled to include places in Europe. She loves the architecture, narrow streets, and the old buildings. She also loves the country Belgium.

Who are her biggest inspirations? 

  • Fraulein Maria, from the musical “Sound of Music”
  • Her girl scout camp counselor from Australia

What does true leadership mean for her? 

True leadership means serving others so they are inspired and motivated to become their best self.
