Dig this!  The boys and girls volleyball team both finished with a successful season.  The boys’ volleyball team won conference for the second year in a row.  On the other hand, while the girls didn’t win conference, they redeemed themselves by winning the conference tournament.

The boys’ varsity volleyball team finished the season with a conference record of 5-1.  The Sabers volleyball team beat Horlick to claim the conference title for a second year in a row!  The boys took Horlick to 3 games with the scores of 26-24, 25-11, and 25-19.  The boys then played the Greendale Panthers in the first round of the playoffs.  The Sabers beat Greendale at home 25-19, 25-18, and 25-17 to advance to the second round in the playoffs.  The Sabers then played Marquette at Marquette.  The Sabers fought hard, but lost to the Hilltoppers with scores of 25-21, 25-18, 25-17.  Despite the loss, the boys had a great season by winning conference for the second year in a row!  Good luck to the  seniors Adam Curtis, Tri Pham, Luke Holterman, Aaron Grunwald, Ilia Grim, Josh Devinger, Connor Fernandez, and Michael Pitcher!

The girls’ varsity team finished with a conference record of 4-3, but won the 2015 SEC Conference Tournament Championship.  Along the way, the girls beat teams that they had previously lost to in the season.  In the first round, the girls beat Kenosha Indian Trail in 2 games with scores of 25-23 and 25-12.  In the second round, the girls faced Racine Case and took them to three games.  The girls came out victorious with a scores of 20-25, 25-21, 15-9.  For the championship match, the girls faced Kenosha Tremper.  Looking to get revenge from a few days earlier, the team came and played a hard fought match.  The sabers won the championship match in 3 games with a scores of  25-17, 15-25, 15-11.  Overall the girls varsity volleyball team had a great season!  Good luck to the seniors Maddie Petre, Breanna McGuire, Erika Marion, Karissia Minster, Jenna Carr, Shannon Herman, Jordyn Dutkiewicz, and Lizzie Versnik!
