On February 11, 2014, The Saber Roar hosted the first ever Amazing Race during students’ resource time. Two representatives from each class had to decipher clues to lead them to tasks that would ultimately lead them to the finish line.
Lance Allan, an anchor from TMJ4, hosted the Amazing Race on the PA system, carefully documenting each class’ steps as they completed each of the tasks. Each team had to translate Kaji’s on Mr. Kania’s chalkboard, throw Swedish Fish into a bucket, run around bats with their foreheads pressed against the end, and carry their teammate to the next task.
After many difficulties throwing Swedish Fish into a bucket and running into other teams in Mr. Kania’s room, one team came out victorious.
Reaching the TV Technology room first, the Juniors were the winners of the Amazing Race. The Sophomores came in a strong second, with the Seniors following in third, and Freshman in fourth. Juniors check back to find out when you will be getting your free cookies!
